GALVANIZED WIRE
Galvanized wire is obtained by means of wire drawing followed by heat treatment and actual galvanization. The main purpose of heat treatment is to return to the wire the properties it lost during wire drawing. Galvanization is achieved by immersion in a molten zinc bath.
Zinc coating affords major corrosion-proofing, allowing very varied use. It is used widely in agriculture (vineyards and orchards especially), in fencing and netting applications, as packaging in the pulp industry, and in fibres and sponge applications in cut lengths with or without hooks.
